Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential elections two years ago had a significant impact around the world. Domestically, Trump’s policies have also left no one indifferent and they are contributing to the country’s division into two increasingly polarised communities as demonstrated by the results of the recent midterm elections. We’ll analyse these results with David Wasserman, House Editor for The Cook Political Report, in this new Big Challenges session.

Wasserman is an electoral expert and the prestigious author of numerous articles dedicated to the U.S. elections. We will also take advantage of his visit to ESADE to reflect on Trump’s chances of winning a second term and on the political, economic and social consequences of the populist movements increasingly found in every Western democracy.

Held on december 17 2018 with:

  • David Wasserman, House Editor, The Cook Political Report, and political analyst.
  • Angel Saz, ESADEgov Professor and Director of ESADEgeo.
